Jimi will introduce you to the plants that put on their show at this time of year and explain how best to grow them, how to combine them in the garden to create a stunning autumn garden.

Few gardeners are content with the length of their growing season, so join Jimi for a day of learning. He will show you how careful selection of plants and thoughtful planning can result in a full season of colour, now and into winter.
Jimi will show you how to choose and plant your spring bulbs and how to prepare for next season.Your day with consist of the following:
• Tea/Coffee on arrival
• Illustrated talk on the best Autumn and Winter plants including trees, shrubs and perennials
• Mid-Morning Tea/Coffee and cakes
• Behind the scene tour of Hunting Brook. As we walk through the gardens, we will pay particular attention to Hunting Brook’s woody plant collection, late perennials, Salvias and grasses and the plants that carry the gardens through the Autumn and Winter months.
• Practical demonstration class where Jimi will explain the jobs that take place in the gardens at this time of year including propagation, storing the Dahlias and Cannas for winter, care for the succulent and exotic plant collection, bulb planting, cutting back perennials, pruning and redesigning planting schemes.
